ASSAULT ARREST IN TWENTYNINE PALMS

A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Tuesday morning after a fight at gas station. According to the Sheriff’s Department, witnesses reported just before 9 a.m. that a man, later identified as Justin Goodin, 32, of the 6800 block of Araby Avenue, was physically assaulting a clerk at the A.M./P.M. gas station in the 73400 block of 29 Palms Highway. When Goodin tried to leave the gas station, several witnesses blocked his car to prevent him from leaving. Witnesses also said that Goodin, who seemed to be drunk, was hitting a woman in the vehicle with him. After an investigation, Justin Goodin was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, cited and released.
