ART RECEPTION FRIDAY AT 29 PALMS VISITORS CENTER ART GALLERY

An opening reception will be held on this Friday “Gold, Iron and Steel: A Metallic History of the Morongo Basin,” the new art exhibition at the Downtown Twentynine Palms Visitor Center. The public is invited to attend the reception from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. and meet the artists. Refreshments will be served, and music will be provided by guitarist Randy Godfrey. Admission is free. The group art show features more than a dozen desert artists, who have captured the theme of desert metal in photography, mixed media works, painting, ceramics, and steel sculpture. The show will be on display for October, November, and December.
