ARRESTS FOR MARIJUANA AND MORE IN YUCCA VALLEY

Three people were arrested in Yucca Valley Thursday on various charges after police served a search warrant. About 2:20 a.m., deputies went to a home in the 3300 block of Jemez Trail to serve a warrant on Leroy Lewis, 32. Residents at the home, Krue Karnbach, 18, and Laura Harris, 52, stated that Lewis was not there. They had been warned earlier in the month that they could be held criminally liable if he was in fact there.  The deputies entered the home under the warrant and found Lewis. In addition, they found a large marijuana plant growing; neither Karnbach or Harris had a medical marijuana license to grow the pot. Leroy Lewis was arrested for his warrant and is being held without bail at the Morongo Basin Jail. Krue Karnbach and Laura Harris were both arrested for investigation of harboring a fugitive and cultivation of marijuana. They were booked at the West Valley Detention Center with their bail set at $25,000 each.
