The Morongo Basin Historical Society is scheduled to have their second Wednesday lecture series on Wednesday, April 8, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. This lecture is about the flora of the Morongo Basin and Joshua Tree National Park and will be taught by naturalist and botanist Darrell Shade. Because of the different elevations and various types of terrain, there is great diversity of flora in our area. Shade will discuss and exhibit some of the most beautiful flowering native plants growing here and tell where to find them. This lecture takes place at the Hi-Desert Nature Museum and donation is $5.
