Twentynine Palms High School Boys varsity tennis defeated Coachella Valley High School, 10 to 8, yesterday. Coach Bill Shay said Jarod Burks led the Wildcats in single play by sweeping all three sets, and John Lanza won two out of three sets. In doubles action, the Wildcats were led by Marcus Simon and Vincent Thomas, sweeping all three sets. Jose Valdez and Raul Hernandez took two out of three sets. Shay said, “Everyone of the boys played their hearts out to secure this victory. Go Wildcats!”
