46TH ANNUAL MORONGO BASIN CONSERVATION ASSOCIATION MEETING THIS SATURDAY

The Morongo Basin Conservation Association invites the public to its 46th annual meeting, Saturday, January 24, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Joshua Tree Community Center. This year’s keynote speaker will be Valerie E. Simon, Lt. Col USMC retired, and career environmental professional. She will share her expertise and experience on the topic of: “Communities, Communication and Empowerment: A Conversation on Strategies for Effective Environmental Engagement.” A panel will engage with Simon after her presentation to help bring home the lessons learned to the Morongo Basin. President Sarah Kennington will begin the meeting by noting MBCA’s activities and highlights from 2014 and share the goals for 2015. Free refreshments will be served.
