29 PALMS LITTLE LEAGUE SENIOR SOFTBALL MAKES HISTORY

The Twentynine Palms Little League Senior Softball All-Star team made history for the second time this post season. Last night, they became the first team in the 28 year history of the league to advance to the Divisional State championships. The team became the first team to repeat as district 58 champions last week by defeating host team Banning Pass Little League three games to one in a best of five series. Only four players from last year’s championship team returned to the squad: Andraliah Lee, Brittne Kitrell, Selena Gonzales, and Latasia Benavente. Three players were selected as outstanding players for their performances in six games during both tournaments: Millennium Pritchett (offensive), Makya Bullion (defensive), and Latasia Benavente (all around). The team will begin their next tournament on July 17th in Hesperia.
