The 18th annual Starry Nights Festival is set to take place on Friday, September 26, and Saturday, September 27. On Friday, join the Yucca Mesa Improvement Association for the celebration of the 53rd birthday. They are hosting a potluck with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. and dining at 6:00 p.m., bring your favorite potluck meal or donate $5 to the cause. There will also be a speaker and prize give-aways. On Saturday, join them from noon until midnight for the Star Party Speakers. Don’t forget, there will be telescopes for public viewing and clinics to show you how to use them. The event will be held at the Yucca Mesa Community Center on 3133 Balsa Avenue in Yucca Valley.
