12-YEAR-OLD ARRESTED FOR WAL-MART BOMB THREAT

A 12-year-old boy is believed to be responsible for calling in a bomb threat to Wal-Mart in Yucca Valley Tuesday afternoon. After the phone call threatening to “blow up” the store. Wal-Mart management evacuated the store and called the Sheriff’s Department. Sheriff’s Deputies Shaunna Ables and Michael Otey investigated the phone call and determined the call came from a phone in the possession of a 12-year-old student from La Contenta Middle School who was riding the school bus home. The boy, who was not identified due to his age, was arrested for investigation of making a false bomb threat and released to the custody of his parents.
